Mr. R.D. Thulasiraj

Mr. Thulasiraj with his expertise in setting up culturally relevant solutions to the problem of avoidable blindness, has served as Advisor to several national and international agencies. He has been the regional chairman of South East Asia’s International Agency - Prevention of Blindness.

Dr. S. Aravind

Dr. S. Aravind gave a special identity to the Aravind Eye Care System’s sustainability through unique business model. He is one of the resource persons at IIM & ISB and also a mentor for MBA students of Wharton School of Business and University of Michigan. He joined Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai as the Medical officer in 1996.

Dr. G. Natchiar

Dr. Natchiar is responsible for steering the Aravind Eye Care System on a path of intensification and innovation over the years. She has received multiple honors, including the Best Medico Social Worker, Nethra Dharshini, Mehra, from reputed national and international organizations., as well as the “Long Time Achievement Award” by 57th Annual Conference of TNOA at Coimbatore.

Dr. R. Kim

Dr. R. Kim is known for his renowned works in the Retinal field of ophthalmology. His interest in technology and passion for ophthalmology contributed for the development of Telemedicine at Aravind Eye Care System. He is the programme director of Aravind telemedicine network. He was executive committee member of the Vitreo-Retinal Society of India from 1999 to 2001.

Dr. N. Venkatesh Prajna

Dr. N. Venkatesh Prajna serves as Chief of Medical Education and Chief of the Cornea Department at Aravind Eye Hospitals, and is the Secretary of the Govel Trust. He joined Aravind in 1993 as a full-time consultant and holds a Fellowship from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London, in addition to serving on the Advisory Board of the International Council of Ophthalmology.
